Job Description

We are seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer to further grow our systems safety and nuclear engineering capability. You will work across diverse industries from defence to healthcare, energy production to transport infrastructure.

You will be responsible for delivering safety and assurance programs for major projects in Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne. Our current projects include:

  • Supporting naval surface ship and submarine programs in Adelaide.
  • Supporting the safety case development of Australia's first Commonwealth radioactive waste disposal facility.
  • Leading thinking on the assurance of autonomy.
  • Developing an understanding of how machine learning can support safety engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent depth of training).
  • A minimum of 5 years nuclear-related experience.
  • Have (or be eligible for) UK or Australian security clearance.
  • Safety and assurance knowledge and experience.
