Job Description

As a skilled Asphalt Production Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of asphalt products for construction projects.

You will be responsible for operating and controlling asphalt plant machinery and equipment, monitoring and adjusting production processes to meet quality standards, performing routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, collaborating with the production team to coordinate daily operations and optimize productivity, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and resolving operational issues, maintaining accurate records of production and equipment maintenance activities, adhering to company policies including safety protocols.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality results.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Asphalt Plant Operator or similar role
  • Understanding of asphalt production processes and equipment
  • Familiarity with plant control systems and computerized equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results

Additional Information

Working hours are generally Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm with optional Saturday work. Flexibility to work extended hours including weekends and nights if required. Valid drivers' licence and reliable transportation essential. Tickets/experience on plant machinery such as front-end loaders/forklifts desirable. Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening required.
