Career Opportunity: Field Services Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Field Services Technician to join our team. As a Field Services Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining nbn products and services.

This is an autonomous role that requires strong customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to work independently. You will have the opportunity to work in various environments, including internal and external locations.

  • Install cabling (copper and fibre) including jointing, jumpering and splicing
  • Install Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
  • Diagnostics and repair of nbn cabling networks and nbn CPE

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication cabling or electrical engineering and excellent problem-solving skills.

Your typical day may involve any or all of the following functions:

You will be working between the hours of 7am to 7pm based on business needs and we encourage a flexible working environment.

A large part of this role is working in customers' premises, so it will also be important to have exceptional customer service skills and be able to display honesty and integrity while being self-managed and motivated.

Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade certification in communication cabling or electrical engineering an asset
