Delivering Exceptional Service in Food and Beverage Operations

At Mercure Perth, we are seeking a dedicated supervisor to lead our food and beverage team during afternoon service periods. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences within our outlets and event spaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience in conferencing, events, and F&B operations, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding service and fostering team success.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and assisting with the setup, service, and breakdown of events across multiple function rooms and event spaces.
  • Leading and mentoring the afternoon F&B team, ensuring smooth operations and consistent high-quality service.
  • Welcome guests warmly to our food and beverage outlets, ensuring every interaction is memorable.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including any changes or promotions, and communicating these effectively to both guests and the team.
  • Overseeing the settlement of customer accounts within our POS system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Preparing basic beverages and supervising barista and bartending activities as required.
  • Being an active promoter of Mercure Perth, contributing innovative ideas to enhance service delivery and drive revenue.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.
  • Promoting and upholding workplace safety by identifying hazards and fostering a culture of WHS awareness.
  • Collaborating with other teams and outlets as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Barista-certified coffee preparation.
  • Current working rights in Australia.
  • Proven experience in supervising food and beverage operations, particularly in conferencing and events.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
