Support Teacher Inclusive Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Teacher Inclusive Education to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative educator to make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
  • Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
  • Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Support Teacher: Inclusive Education
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Experience in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs), an advantage
  • An understanding of the NCCD process
  • Involvement with strategies and practices which influence student progress and achievement
  • An ability to attend to innovative and creative teaching practices
  • A proven capacity to work as part of a team
  • A willingness to share knowledge and skills through professional development, consultation, and advice
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement
