We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Charissa Foster. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to individuals with disabilities, their families, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Mentor the Positive Behaviour Support Team: Provide guidance and support to the Positive Behaviour Support team, ensuring professional development and high-quality support.
- Offer Discipline-Specific Guidance and Quality Assurance: Provide discipline-specific guidance and quality assurance to our Multicap Clinical Practice and Behaviour Support teams.
- Conduct Thorough Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to pinpoint the root causes of challenging behaviors and develop effective, individualized strategies.
- Coach and Support Families and Support Workers: Coach and support families, support workers, and managers to enhance their skills in implementing behavior support plans.
- Supervise and Support Core and Proficient Practitioners: Supervise and support core and proficient practitioners to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support.
- Monitor and Analyze Data: Monitor and analyze data to assess and adjust behavior support plans as needed.
- Achieve Operational, Clinical, Legal, and Financial Performance Targets: Achieve operational, clinical, legal, and financial performance targets.
- Master's Degree or Working Towards Qualified in Allied Health or Social and Behavioural Sciences: Hold a Master's degree or be working towards qualified in allied health or social and behavioural sciences.
- Minimum of 2.5 Years' Experience in Positive Behaviour Support: Have a minimum of 2.5 years' experience in the discipline of providing Positive Behaviour Support.
- Experience and Knowledge of Challenging Behaviour and Intellectual Disability: Have experience and knowledge of challenging behaviour and intellectual disability.
- Demonstrated Experience in Coordinating Support to People Living with a Disability: Have demonstrated experience in coordinating the provision of support to people living with a disability and their families and support networks.
- Hold a Current QLD Drivers Licence: Hold a current QLD drivers licence.
- Hold a Current Working with Children's Check, Disability Worker Screening Check, or be Willing to Obtain One: Hold a current working with children's check, disability worker screening check, or be willing to obtain one.
- NDIS Practitioner Registration: Hold NDIS practitioner registration.
