We are looking for a proactive, inspiring, and organized individual to take on the position of Case Work Team Leader for the QLD South West Region Foster and Kinship Care Program. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to guiding and supporting a team of compassionate professionals committed to the welfare of children, young people, and foster carers.

The Case Work Team Leader will oversee a team that works with children and adolescents facing various developmental, behavioral, and psychological challenges. This position involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and wider support networks to ensure stability and permanency for the young individuals. You will be responsible for coordinating team resources to deliver tailored support to foster carers, families, and children/young people, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery through best practice.

Operating within a robust clinical governance framework, you will work alongside a team of independent practitioners in a designated regional area. Your role will include providing direct support in complex situations or during team member absences, as well as offering practice leadership and therapeutic guidance to a team of Caseworkers.

Some travel may be necessary to support clients in surrounding regions, including attendance at meetings as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Child Protection sector is advantageous
  • Relevant qualifications in the sector or related fields are preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Commitment to fostering a positive team environment
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
