Job Opportunity

Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals are seeking a Staff Specialist to join our Radiation Oncology Department.

The successful applicant will provide consultative services in radiation oncology, including multidisciplinary clinical assessments, radiotherapy simulation and planning across several cancer sub-specialty sites.

The position is for a fixed term of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level clinical expertise in radiation oncology.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary clinical assessments and radiotherapy simulations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cancer.

The appointee may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District.

Requirements and Selection Criteria

Essential Requirements

  • Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
  • Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in radiation oncology.
  • Exhibit high level interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
