**Job Title:** Mental Health Support Worker

 

We are seeking an experienced mental health support worker to join our team in providing support services to individuals with mental health issues. In order to regulate daily routines smoothly, participants require intensive support both at home and in the community.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support to participants, assisting with daily activities, and promoting social and emotional well-being.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide support to individuals with mental health issues in their homes or in the community.
  • Assist participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Help participants to develop and maintain independence and self-esteem.
  • Encourage and facilitate participant's participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement support plans.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Monitor and document participant's progress and report any concerns or changes in their mental health status.

 

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • First-Aid/CPR.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
