As the operational backbone of the digital economy, BitGo handles a significant portion of Bitcoin network transactions and is the largest independent digital asset custodian and staking provider in the world.

The role requires being full-time onsite at the Toronto office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

This role involves designing and building advanced applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Major responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fix bugs, continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency, participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and providing mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in mobile application development using React Native
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies (ES6, TypeScript)
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles
  • Experience with SQL databases like MySQL or Postgres
  • Confident with RESTful API design
  • Great with unit and functional testing and debugging
  • Experience in Git/GitHub and branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university
  • Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
  • Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

Preferred qualifications include experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) and understanding of the financial industry.
