About the Team

The AdTech team at Canva is responsible for delivering innovative advertising technology solutions that revolutionize how we create, optimize, and deliver ads at scale. We build and maintain mission-critical internal platforms that power Canva's marketing efforts, combining cutting-edge automation, data science, and artificial intelligence to drive user acquisition and maximize marketing ROI.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Leadership Role to join our team and help us achieve our mission. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform and ensuring our engineering teams operate at their highest potential.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company with a strong mission to make a lasting impact. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction and roadmap of the AdTech team, as well as ensuring alignment with broader company goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the AdTech team to achieve technical excellence and deliver innovative solutions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to scope and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
  • Developing and maintaining technical design documents and contributing to engineering timelines and sprint planning
  • Designing, developing, and deploying solutions with hands-on software development

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technical leadership roles, with experience working in platform teams and cloud infrastructure. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including equity packages, inclusive parental leave policy, and flexible leave options.
