We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Professional to join our team in Brisbane.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. They will work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

The company is a leading distributor of buses and their parts across Australia. We are at the forefront of the industry's transition to zero emission buses and are passionate about the range of vehicles we offer.

Due to consistent growth in our business, we have an opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified Financial Management Professional to join our Brisbane team.

The role will answer to the National Finance Manager and involve various duties such as Accounts Payable, including timely processing and coding of supplier invoices, monthly reconciliation of supplier statements, weekly payment of accounts, credit card transaction processing and reconciliation, and vendor onboarding and credit applications.

Accounts Receivable includes daily receipting of customer payments, monitoring and following up on overdue accounts, including issuing monthly statements, maintaining customer accounts, and managing credit limits and processing customer credit applications.

Bank Reconciliations and Month End Procedures also form part of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a similar finance or accounting role
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
