A fulfilling role: The Operational Leave Scheduler – Operations is responsible for responding to operational leave queries for the emergency stream. These may include parental leave, annual leave, long service leave, and other leave types. The role requires collaboration with the Workforce Scheduling team to ensure leave is scheduled and managed appropriately.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to operational leave queries within three business days of receipt.
- Provide information and advice to operational team members regarding leave.
- Accurately and efficiently enter leave data into our Payroll system.
- Generate leave reports for leadership, including monitoring excessive leave and book-offs.
- Recommend strategies to reduce leave liabilities.
- Collaborate with the Workforce Scheduling team to manage leave scheduling.
- Escalate complex queries to line managers for guidance.
- Keep line managers informed of unresolved leave matters exceeding seven days.
- Knowledge of relevant systems, tools, and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of awards and enterprise agreements.
