Your Role

We are seeking a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer to enhance our Water Resources group. This role involves leading engineering assessments and designs for various water-related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing engineering evaluations and designs for:
    • River infrastructure such as water intakes, outfalls, dams, weirs, fishways, flood mitigation, and erosion control.
    • Watercourse crossings, including bridges, pipelines, and roads.
    • Restoration of fish habitats and watercourses utilizing bioengineering methods.
    • Flood hazard mapping and inundation analysis.
    • Conducting applied hydrologic studies, including flood frequency assessments.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and contract administration.
  • Developing proposals and engaging in business development activities.
  • Preparing contract documents, including detailed design specifications.
  • Providing construction contract oversight and site inspection services.
  • Mentoring junior staff and facilitating on-the-job training.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in HEC-RAS and other hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A commitment to professional growth in a dynamic environment that promotes leadership and diverse experiences.
  • Aspirations for leadership roles within the organization are advantageous.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in river engineering, hydrotechnical engineering, and water resources.
  • Professional Engineer registration or eligibility to obtain such registration upon employment.
