Family Mental Health Support Service Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator to join our Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of our services, providing direct support to clients, and leading a team of caseworkers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the FMHSS team to provide a direct service response to clients through intake, referral, advocacy, counselling, and collaborative case management.
- Coordinate allocation of new clients to caseworkers and efficient management of the client allocation list.
- Develop and implement processes that support service promotion, service intake, referral, and provision of services to the FMHSS client base.
- Conduct child-centered assessments and risk screening of clients referred, working in a whole family context.
- Undertake child-focused and trauma-informed case work with vulnerable and complex families.
- Develop and deliver therapeutic and educational group programs that meet the objectives of the FMHSS program through schools, community, and other areas as identified through consultation with RASA Management and wider community.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline, or demonstrated knowledge and competencies appropriate to the work.
- Extensive experience working with complex client matters.
- Extensive experience working with children, youth, and families in a therapeutic context, including counselling and 1:1 work with children.
- Experience in trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Experience working within the community services industry.
