Intake Worker

Relationships Australia South Australia is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Mental Health Support Services (FMHSS) Intake Worker to provide innovative and flexible early intervention support services to enhance the well-being of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive, child-focused intake assessments and utilize a 'no wrong door' approach to ensure children and their families or carers receive timely access to support.
- Work with children, young people, and families to identify risk factors or issues that may lead to poor mental health outcomes later in life and work with the child, or young person, and their family to address these issues and strengthen protective factors.
- Promote client safety through universal holistic screening and risk assessment of complex relationship and social issues utilizing the Detection of Overall Risk Screen (DOORS) tool.
- Identify and respond to immediate client needs and safety issues in consultation with the Team Leader and/or Regional Manager.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Sciences, or a Diploma in Counselling, Community Services, Youth Work, or Mental Health with demonstrated relevant experience.
- Experience and expertise gained through previous appointments, services, and/or other study related to this position.
