About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective management of transport activities and operations. This includes overseeing a fleet of prime movers and trailers, managing scheduling and programming of transport activities, and ensuring maximum fleet productivity and efficiency is achieved.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Transport Team, including managing scheduling and programming of transport activities;
  • Ensure maximum fleet productivity and efficiency is achieved;
  • Effectively manage the daily work activity of drivers;
  • Maintenance planning of fleet with key workshop personnel;
  • Understand and meet all legislative and regulatory requirements;

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the transport and logistics industry is advantageous;
  • Strong planning and organisation skills are essential;
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required;
  • Good computer skills with intermediate excel are necessary;
  • May be required to travel to remote civil/mine sites.
