Palliative Care Registrar

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated medical specialist to join our palliative care team.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to participate in a supervised on-call roster for palliative care registrars as "first on call" for the local palliative care unit (Clare Holland House).

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribution to clinical MDT meetings with palliative care and medical oncology and education meetings
  • The opportunity to contribute to education of medical students through the ANU medical school, junior doctors, nurses and allied health professional.
  • Contributing to a wide-range of additional quality, teaching and self-care activities undertaken by the service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strong organisational skills with a high degree of drive
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet clients' needs
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong clinical medical skills with an enthusiasm for learning additional specialist practice
