About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Food Service Officer at the Royal Hobart Hospital. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, production, and plating service to ensure high-quality meals are delivered to patients and staff.
  • Perform ware-washing and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment.
  • Work as a member of a dynamic team to distribute evening meals to patients at the hospital.
  • Check patient identification and observe dietary restrictions to ensure accurate meal delivery.
  • Perform general food preparation, cleaning, service, and menu-related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food preparation and service an asset.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
