This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple projects across South Australia. Key responsibilities include:

Operational
  1. Manage a team of Site Supervisors.
  2. Review project plans, schedules, and specifications; comment on construction design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures, and potential construction problems.
  3. Forecast operational requirements, allocate labor and trade resources on assigned projects, and ensure labor is used efficiently.
  4. Monitor the performance of construction crews and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the scope of works.
  5. Attend site meetings with the Construction Manager, liaise with clients, contractors, or subcontractors to discuss projects, and resolve issues.
  6. Schedule and order materials, perform quantity takeoffs.
  7. Monitor cost control and liaise with the Construction Manager on potential issues.
  8. Identify, analyze, and report on variations.
OHSE & Q Management:

The successful candidate will have experience in identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards, maintaining control and responsibility for company-owned vehicles, equipment, plant, and tools, and enforcing high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.

  1. Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
  2. Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operations of company-owned vehicles, equipment, plant, and tools, in conjunction with Site Supervisors.
  3. Maintain and enforce high-quality construction standards and quality control of OH&S practices.
  4. Ensure commercial in-confidence information and documentation are secured at all times.
  5. Implement client management systems across assigned projects, and/or recommend changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
