We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Sales Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, maintaining high standards of product knowledge and display, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products, including features, benefits, and applications
  • Ensure that store displays are well-maintained, visually appealing, and accurately priced
  • Work effectively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet business objectives
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving processes and procedures
  • Support the achievement of sales goals through effective merchandising and promotional activities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities for growth
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in retail management or a related field an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or retail environment, preferably in a pet-related industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) and stand for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
