About the Role
The hospital has a 50-bed Emergency Department and 14 state-of-the-art theatres, including cardiac catheter labs. We are proud to be home to some of Australia's leading clinical specialists and a training ground for the clinicians of the future.
We have partnerships with other tertiary education institutions, including well-respected nursing schools.
This leadership position supports increasing growth in theatre utilisation. The Theatre Porter Coordinator will drive and lead the operational delivery of exceptional patient care in the Interventional Suite.
You will work closely with Perioperative NUMs and Clinical Coordinators to ensure a smooth patient journey. Your daily functions include managing the theatre orderly team, providing customer/patient service, and assisting with equipment assembly, removal, education, and maintenance.
An aspiring leader with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess:
- At least 2 years of experience as a theatre porter
- Recent experience leading a department
- Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach
- Knowledge of work, health, and safety
- A passion for quality improvement initiatives
- High-level planning and organising skills
- Well-developed oral and written communication
- A high degree of computer literacy
