Job Overview

We are seeking a mechanical engineering expert to lead our expansion into new markets.


The role involves working on various projects, including onsite inspections of heavy machinery, design reviews of mining and port machinery, and engineering design for heavy industry and maritime partners.


The successful candidate will act as a work-winning consultant, Project Manager, and lead project teams to deliver successful projects while maintaining superior quality technical work.


Main Responsibilities
  • Develop bids and proposals, and liaise with management.
  • Perform professional technical work involving independence, originality, ingenuity, and judgement.
  • Serve as a technical specialist in applied advanced concepts, principles, and methods.
  • Provide technical advice to management and business units.
  • Supervise and review the work of engineers, designers/drafters, and technicians.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through your work.

About You
  • Experience with heavy machinery such as stackers, reclaimers, excavators, minerals processing plants, mobile mining machinery, underground mining, draglines, belt conveyors, rolling stock, ship loaders, port machinery, and cranes.
  • Thorough knowledge of local and international design codes for the above equipment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience post-graduation.
  • Relevant registration with a recognized engineering/environmental body.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.
  • Existing customer network or proven ability to develop key customer relationships.
  • Experience working within the engineering or resources sector.
