The role of an After Hours Coordinator is a critical position in the healthcare sector that requires strong leadership and management skills.

As a pivotal member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing after-hours leadership and management of the nursing team, patient flow, and hospital operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising safe and quality care that meets current best practice standards
  • Supporting and liaising with nurse unit managers and team leaders of wards and departments
  • Ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and cost-effectively managed
  • Coordinating patient flow and liaising with VMOs, emergency department, paramedics
  • Overseeing the safety of patients and hospital staff
  • Taking lead in emergency codes/situations

Applicants should possess high computer literacy skills, including MS Office, and be familiar with relevant enterprise agreements. ALS training and certification are also desirable.
