Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with internal teams as well as external government and industry stakeholders to foster strong professional partnerships built on trust and mutual understanding.
- Gather a deep understanding of partnership business goals and key drivers for financial performance, focusing on managing risk, optimising costs, improving revenues, and enhancing overall business outcomes.
- Play an integral role in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring all reporting requirements are met with accuracy and integrity throughout each cycle.
- Oversee asset management processes including capitalisation, depreciation, asset re-living, and revaluation, maintaining transparency and timely reporting at every stage.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, budget proposals, and briefings that clearly communicate how information technology investments support broader business needs.
- Contribute actively to the development, implementation, and ongoing review of robust financial models and cost recovery systems that underpin effective governance.
- Drive process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and efficiency initiatives that enhance financial operations across the organisation.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial practices by participating in regular reviews and recommending enhancements based on best practice standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements in all aspects of financial management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in public sector finance or similar environments, with experience working collaboratively with stakeholders from varied backgrounds. They will possess technical proficiency in budgeting cycles, an analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex data sets into actionable insights, and attention to detail when handling asset management tasks.
