Job Summary

This role oversees the efficient operation of critical plant and equipment in the data centre, ensuring compliance with risk management, occupational health and safety policies, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance of all data centre services, including electrical, mechanical, and UPS systems, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement occupational health and safety policies, ensuring vendors and clients comply with safety standards.
  • Conduct routine and critical switching activities for electrical/mechanical systems and participate in an on-call roster for incident response.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, supporting design reviews, and manage new asset handovers.
  • Prepare and review method of procedure documents and switching procedure instructions for critical infrastructure tasks.
  • Ensure operational tasks, preventive maintenance, and repairs are performed efficiently using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Manage client interactions and maintain high satisfaction through regular updates, performance reports, and service level adherence.
  • Support financial management, including budget forecasts, capital works proposals, vendor contract management, and service level adherence.
  • Participate in project deliveries, including stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a data centre or critical environment facility management role.
  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, UPS, and fire safety systems.
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Proficiency in building management systems, computerized maintenance management systems, and related systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client management skills.
