About the Role:

As a Home Support Assistant, you will provide essential support services to clients in their homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, fostering a safe, clean and comfortable environment, and promoting the dignity and independence of each client.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks
  • Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions, needs or requirements
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols
  • Respect client confidentiality and uphold the rights and dignity of each individual

Requirements:

You will need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience in a home care or community support role is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A kind, compassionate, patient, and dedicated approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
