At Talent Focus, we're seeking a dedicated and experienced Culinary Lead to join our childcare centre team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing young children with healthy, nutritious meals that fuel their growth, learning, and play.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional food services in a fast-paced environment. As a Culinary Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing the preparation of fresh, seasonal meals that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of young children, while ensuring variety and appeal.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Lead a team of cooks to ensure efficient meal production, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
  • Collaborate with our Centre Team to provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with families.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
  • Food Safety Certification and Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • Experience working in a childcare centre or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nutrition principles and menu planning for young children.
