Job Description

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Tailings Geotechnical Engineer to play a critical role in the governance and safe management of tailings and water storage facilities.

  • Implement and improve the Dam Safety Management Plan (DSMP) to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate evidence for audits, inspections, and reviews.

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of implementing the DSMP, driving governance excellence, and contributing to the continual improvement of tailings stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Tailings & Water Risk Register and support periodic Dam Safety Reviews (DSRs).
  • Manage governance actions from audits, inspections, and investigations.
  • Collate and maintain geotechnical data for dams and storage facilities.
Requirements

This role requires strong knowledge of ANCOLD/ICOLD guidelines and GISTM principles, as well as experience in Tailings management, Dam safety, or Geotechnical engineering.
