Speech Pathologist

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic Allied Health team on a casual contract. As a Grade 1 or 2 Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to experience a varied clinical caseload across the acute setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage swallowing and communication disorders in accordance with evidence-based practice.
- Provide counselling and education regarding communication and swallowing disorders to patients and families.
- Work collaboratively with patients, carers, and members of the multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrate professional, ethical, and respectful behavior and teamwork always in accordance with our core values and the Healthscope code of conduct.
Requirements:
- A degree in Speech Pathology.
- Previous acute hospital experience – Minimum of 1 year.
- Membership to Speech Pathology Australia.
- Video fluoroscopy and tracheostomy management experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
