We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to manage health, safety, and environmental practices across a project from start to finish. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld on-site.
You will oversee safety practices across various subcontractors and manage all phases of construction projects. This is a dynamic role requiring a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety practices and standards.
- Manage safety protocols across different phases of construction, from project initiation through to completion.
- Address safety concerns and incidents promptly, providing effective solutions and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance site safety.
- Promote a culture of safety, encouraging staff and subcontractors to adhere to best practices and report hazards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience in commercial construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage health, safety, and environmental practices across a project from start to finish.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and address complex safety challenges.
- Experience dealing with multiple subcontractors and coordinating safety efforts across various trades.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with site personnel and subcontractors.
