About This Role

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team in Larapinta, Brisbane. As a key member of our engineering department, you will take pride in delivering high-quality designs that meet client requirements and thrive in an innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present conceptual designs, engineered solutions, and proposals that are accurate, practical, and aligned with client needs.
  • Apply engineering expertise across design, drafting, compliance, and technical client support.
  • Engage directly with clients across defence, mining, infrastructure, and energy to clarify requirements, propose solutions, and represent our capabilities.
  • Demonstrate expertise in CAD models, calculations, and FEA reports using Solid Edge and Femap.
  • Manage the full cycle of technical opportunities from concept and client pitch through to project delivery and close.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years CAD and design experience within mechanical engineering or metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge and Femap.
  • Proven ability to engage with clients in a technical sales capacity, presenting engineered solutions and driving projects through to completion.
  • Strong technical writing skills with demonstrated ability in calculations, compliance, and engineering documentation.
