Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane or Gold Coast office. The successful candidate will work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, undertaking design and assessment of various structures such as concrete process tanks, pump stations, reservoirs, and associated facilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural engineering with the ability to perform advanced design tasks on assigned projects under minimal supervision.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing project scope, budgets, and design approach for small size projects and collaborating with stakeholders in client project requirement meetings and coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants.

In this role, you will participate in technically complex projects and act as a technical resource to other team members, applying advanced knowledge of current principles and practices of structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced structural engineering design tasks on assigned projects under minimal supervision.
  • Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for small size projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in client project requirement meetings and coordination meetings with internal and/or external consultants.
  • Participate in technically complex projects and act as a technical resource to other team members.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of current principles and practices of structural engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Holding or working towards RPEQ and / or Chartership is highly regarded.
  • 8 years' experience within a consulting engineering practice.
  • Involvement in the structural design of civil or industrial infrastructure with a focus on concrete and steel.
  • Expertise with working with a wide range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies, and commercial companies.
