Job Title

The Disaster Resilience Planning Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of disaster resilience frameworks. This role works across multiple sites, supporting planning within the disaster resilience unit responsible for fire safety, security, emergency management and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to support all stages of disaster resilience unit planning
  • Prepare plans and documents, following endorsed planning frameworks and processes
  • Utilize project management skills and methodologies to lead the design, conduct and management of projects of significant scope, complexity and sensitivity

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to provide leadership in the development of disaster resilience planning to a professional standard, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Effective communication and report writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, including the preparation, implementation and evaluation of policies, strategic plans and strategies dealing with disaster resilience activities
