Overview

We are seeking experienced mining operators to join our team at Programmed, a leading company in the field of open-cut mining. As a mining operator with Whitehaven Coal in the Gunnedah region, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $44.13 per hour, including an incentive allowance of $5 per hour, as well as a retention allowance paid quarterly. This attractive remuneration package includes superannuation paid on all rostered hours and a competitive annual salary.

Job Description

This is an opportunity for experienced multi-skilled or dump truck operators to join our team in the Gunnedah basin. As an open-cut mining operator, you will be responsible for operating mining machinery, including haul trucks and other equipment. Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Commitment: Demonstrate unwavering dedication to fulfilling your rostered shift requirements
  • Safety Focus: Prioritize safety by adhering to established safe working practices at all times
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with your team, bringing a positive and can-do attitude to every task
  • Driver's License: Hold a current drivers license
  • Residential Address: Have a local residential address to facilitate work arrangements and commute
  • Referee Validation: Provide 2-3 work-related referees in supervisory roles to vouch for your skills and attributes
  • Pre-Employment Checks: Successfully pass a pre-employment NSW Order 43 medical examination, drug & alcohol test, and criminal history check
  • Interview Availability: Attend interviews at our Gunnedah office as required during the recruitment process
  • Documentation: Be prepared to provide your machine competencies
