Senior Open Cut Mining Operator Positions Available in Gunnedah

We are seeking experienced mining operators to join our team at a leading coal mine in the Gunnedah region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery, including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, and graders. A current drivers licence is also required.

As a senior mining operator with Programmed, you will be rewarded with a competitive annual salary of $93,320 per year, paid bi-weekly ($44.13 per hour + $5/hour incentive allowance), as well as additional payments for multi-skilled operators. You will also enjoy a family-friendly roster, Monday to Friday, with 5 hour rotating day/afternoon shifts.

About your new role:

  • Operate heavy machinery, including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, and graders, safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high levels of safety awareness and adhere to established safe working practices at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve production goals and maintain a positive attitude towards every task.

  • A current driver's licence and a local residential address to facilitate work arrangements and commute.
  • Able to provide 2-3 work-related referees in supervisory roles to vouch for your skills and attributes.
  • Succesfully pass a pre-employment NSW Order 43 medical examination, drug & alcohol test, and criminal history check.
  • Able to attend interviews at our Gunnedah office as required during the recruitment process.
  • Prepared to provide your machine competencies.
