Job Title: Production General Hand

About This Role:

This role is responsible for setting up and operating various machines, assisting or performing mould changes, start-ups, and shutdowns.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate different machinery types
  • Assist or perform mould changes, start-ups, and shutdowns
  • Adjust settings to optimize product quality and cycle efficiency
  • Conduct in-process quality checks (visual, fitment, measurements)
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues
  • Record production data and perform light preventative maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental standards

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing steel and/or plastics is required
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability are necessary
  • A broad understanding of manufacturing processes and materials is essential
  • Ability to work comfortably with physical tasks and standing for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills (for machine interfaces, data entry) are needed
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are required
  • Capacity to follow safety guidelines and protocols is essential

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems (Pronto) would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with robotics/automated systems could be advantageous
  • Forklift license and overhead crane experience would be desirable
