Job Title: Maritime Security Professional

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced individual to secure a position as a maritime security professional. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and integrity of port facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Access Control Management: You will be responsible for controlling access to maritime zones, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and protocols.
  • Surveillance Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems and the port's perimeter, entry gates, and high-security areas.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, fire alarms, or emergency situations, utilizing CCTV and other tools as necessary.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Provide detailed reports on daily communications, incident logs, alarm responses, and breach events.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain security systems, including access control, CCTV, and visitor management tools, to ensure site security and monitor activities.
Requirements:
  • Certificate II in Security Operations. Valid VIC Security License. Current MSIC/Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Occupational First Aid - Level 3. Current Valid driving license.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in maritime security or similar roles. CCTV monitoring and access control system experience. Ability to write detailed incident and security reports.
