Cyber Security Compliance Specialist

Job Overview
The Cyber Security Compliance Coordinator role involves ensuring client networks, information, and digital assets remain secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations. This position is critical in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Cyber Security Framework aligned with best practices and compliance requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and assist in developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential threats.
- Coordinate the deployment and monitoring of security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software.
- Assist with incident response activities including investigations and reporting to ensure timely resolution of security breaches.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements such as ACSC Essential 8, NSW Cyber Security Mandatory 25, and PCI-DSS.
- Deliver security awareness and training programs to employees, contractors, and partners to promote a culture of cyber security.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning to ensure minimal disruption in case of an emergency.
- Provide regular reports on compliance status, risks, and emerging threats to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting the development of cyber security strategies or programs.
- Familiarity with incident management and forensic investigation processes.
- Excellent project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
