Home Care Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide high-quality care and support to seniors, adults living with a disability, and adults recovering from a hospital stay in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Job

As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with meal preparation and feeding, accompany clients on outings, and engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Accompany clients on outings and engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and communication with care managers and other team members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Hold a Certificate III in Companion Care or equivalent qualification
  • Have experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
