The Opportunity

We are seeking environmental assurance specialists to join our recently established Sustainability Disclosure Hub. The Hub is a collaboration between our Climate Change and Sustainability Services team and our core Audit Practice to respond to emerging mandatory reporting requirements.

The objective of the Hub's delivery team is to deliver work related to mandatory reporting requirements, mostly assurance.

As a leader in sustainability consulting, we have a strong focus on technical development and developing the next generation of professionals.

The Sustainability Disclosure Hub offers practical guidance to assist companies prepare for mandatory climate and sustainability-related reporting. Headed by Oceania market-leading financial and non-financial reporting professionals, the Hub brings together EY capability locally and globally, coupling financial and non-financial reporting strategy, readiness, and assurance capabilities.

Responsibilities

As an Environmental Assurance Specialist, you will focus on non-financial assurance across locations. This includes:

- Taking responsibility for assurance processes and design of work programs

- Providing technical advice and insight to clients

- Managing potential problems and opportunities in delivering services

- Presenting complex messages to senior client stakeholders

- Building trusted relationships with clients

Requirements

We seek candidates with:

- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, engineering, environmental sciences, economics, social sciences, law, organisational development, research methods, or international development

- Financial or non-financial assurance experience and awareness of relevant standards

- Practical experience with energy and emissions reporting schemes and climate risk advisory experience

- Outstanding project and time management skills

- 9+ years of relevant professional experience and 2+ years leadership or management experience
