Senior Commercial Finance Manager

This is a senior leadership position within the Women & Leadership Australia organization, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager. As a trusted finance business partner, you will work closely with the General Manager and other stakeholders to drive commercial and financial success across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Modelling and Insights
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to analyze business performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide strategic insights to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and assess business strategies.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Corporate Planning
- Lead the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with the Executive team to understand forecast assumptions and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
- Prepare and present budget documentation to stakeholders, highlighting key performance drivers and areas for improvement.
- Manage the production of monthly management reports, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Develop and refine financial forecasts as part of the corporate planning process.
Strategic Development and Implementation
- Contribute to the development and rollout of business initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Lead the development of data-driven strategic insights to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team and other stakeholders to drive strategic objectives and deliver results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and CA or CPA qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in senior commercial roles, with a strong track record of analytical, decision-making, and influencing skills.
- Commercially aware and financially astute mindset, with a deep understanding of how specific drivers impact business performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality reporting to stakeholders.
- Student and customer focus in all dealings with stakeholders.
- Willingness to engage in and contribute to an organizational culture that fosters personal responsibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to better outcomes.
