Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert advice and support to clients across various industries.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and the Fair Work Act. You will work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on employment-related matters, including contract reviews, policy development, and workplace investigations.
  • Draft employer responses to legal claims and represent clients in various courts and tribunals.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop effective enterprise agreements and negotiate collective bargaining outcomes.
  • Advising on discrimination issues and risks, ensuring compliance with Australian WHS regulations.
  • Support clients in managing grievances and whistleblowing complaints, maintaining a proactive and client-centric approach.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience as an Employment Lawyer in Australia, with strong expertise in Australian employment laws and the Fair Work Act.
  • Experience in contract drafting, procurement, and enterprise agreement interpretation and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
