Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Category Development Specialist to join our team at Blackwoods National Office in Macquarie Park. As a permanent, full-time opportunity, this role will play a critical part in the execution of the category strategy, enhancing market presence and supporting commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers and Suppliers to develop and maintain strong relationships, driving competitive advantage and growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing the category strategy to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborating with Product Managers to enhance Supplier relationships and product offerings
  • Supporting the Sales Team with category proposition development to drive sales growth
  • Researching and evaluating the market to provide valuable insights to the Category Team

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field (advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering products and market trends
  • Excellent problem-solving and forward-planning skills
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, depending on the situation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a highly competitive salary package, estimated to be around $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, you will enjoy:
