Testing Role

The role of a Test Analyst in Trading Technology involves delivering high-quality testing to ensure the security and reliability of systems used in the trading of physical and financial energy products.

This position focuses on developing and executing test artefacts, including test plans, test cases, scripts, and status/closure reports, as well as creating and maintaining automation scripts and integrating them within CI/CD pipelines.

Collaboration with developers, PMs, and SMEs is key to designing, implementing, and tracking test coverage, while capturing and reporting on test metrics, results, and defect statuses throughout the lifecycle is crucial for business confidence.

  • Developing automated test development and execution skills
  • Creating and maintaining automation scripts and integrating them within CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborating with technical teams to design and implement test solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automated software testing
  • 5+ years overall software testing experience
  • Experience with integration and end-to-end testing
  • Strong scripting and test design skills
  • Prior experience working within Agile/DevOps teams
  • Degree in IT or equivalent industry experience
  • Hands-on with Azure DevOps (for test/defect management)
