About the Role

Our hospital is seeking a skilled professional to fill a temporary full-time opportunity in our Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and participating in the provision of services across the Metro North health service network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients in the Adult Intensive Care Unit under the guidance of intensive care specialists.
  • Implement decisions on patient care taken by senior medical staff.
  • Formulate plans of management and coordinate appropriate consultation with other specialties as well as participation in the rapid response system.
  • Select and arrange appropriate investigations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation occurs in the patient clinical record, including a discharge summary upon transferring care to another provider.

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
