Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Automotive Technician to join our PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and validating the suitability and compliance of vehicles to customer and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Delivery Tasks and Inspections: Perform pre-delivery tasks and inspections in accordance with set instructions and standards.
- Vehicle Customization: Fit out vehicles as per plan and/or instructed, ensuring that all customizations meet the required standards.
- Vehicle Safety and Handling: Safely maneuver vehicles in and around the compound and workshop, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform required quality checks and be accountable for the workmanship of performed work.
- Record Keeping: Ensure that required records are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Experience: Previous experience in the automotive trade and quality systems is essential.
- Manual Driver's License: A valid manual driver's license is required.
- Diagnostic and Fitment Experience: General automotive diagnostic and automotive accessory fitment experience is necessary.
- Service Experience: Experience in servicing all makes and models is required.
- Attention to Detail: A good eye for detail and problem-solving skills are highly sought after.
- Diagnostic Problem-Solving Ability: Diagnostic problem-solving ability is essential.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification: Mechanical trade (or part thereof) qualified is preferred but not necessary.
- Team Leadership Experience: Team leader experience is an advantage.
- Dealership Servicing Experience: Dealership servicing experience is desirable.
