About the Role:

This role will report to the Principal of Fixed Plant – Mechanical & Process category in the newly established Studies and Programs team. The Program Director will be expected to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders' across our business at a divisional level, along with our engineering partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a program charter to define the strategy for delivering the program that provides a consistent approach across all applicable RTIO Pilbara operations.
  • Support study leads with developing program and project execution plans, for pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, implementation and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate the roll out of the program with a team of Study Leads and Engineers, delivering projects across RTIO Pilbara operations. Assess quality of study deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with site leaders, asset owners (, PMO, SCS, OTS), and contracting partners.
  • Engage directly with Delivery Superintendents to ensure projects are adequately supported and resourced.
  • Provide regular communication and reporting on program metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Engage with the Sustaining Capital Strategic Sourcing team to develop procurement and contracting strategies for the program and regularly review the sourcing strategy for projects in the program.
  • Manage the program master schedule and risk register, providing updates on changes to the pipeline of works.
  • Support the improvement of the project delivery systems, processes and procedures ensuring that they are standardised and embedded across the team.
  • Manage lessons learned across the program, ensuring effective communication of successes and proposed improvements.
  • Support Study Leads, coordinating efforts between the projects and providing high level guidance to identify project issues and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Oversight of the development and control of deadlines, budgets, and activities.
  • Depending on the complexity of the program and available capacity, program lead could lead a strategic study.
