Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Melbourne Airport.
  • The ideal candidate will have technical skills and experience as a tradesman, conducting repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
  • The role involves working with multiple unique GSE specialized equipment and promoting a safety-first approach.
  • You will collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.

About the Role

  • Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting, and repair tasks that reflect a trade standard.
  • Report daily to the Shift Supervisor, with ultimate management from the State Service Manager.
  • Utilize diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding skills.
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrate strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
  • Have your own tools.
  • Strong communication skills and proactiveness.
