About the Role

Rabobank Gruppe is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Cyber Security team, you will play a critical role in protecting our systems and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build generic remediation solutions to vulnerabilities and provide those solutions to application and infrastructure teams in the form of advisory documentation.
  • Assess vulnerabilities for risk in our environment based on a thorough understanding of our application stacks, in conjunction with current threat landscape and threat actor information from threat intelligence, and apply additional CVSS score modifiers accordingly.
  • Work closely with Vulnerability Analysts to ensure consistency of solutions across our environment.
  • Advise and assist application and infrastructure teams with complex vulnerability mitigations and remediations.
  • Build custom detections and mitigations for critical 0-day vulnerabilities.
  • Review vulnerability remediation solutions and mitigations provided by vendors and other teams to ensure they are technically sound and have the desired effect in our environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an IT professional in a relevant area.
  • Experience in a combination of system engineering roles, application support roles, or cyber security roles preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of common concepts, standards, and frameworks in vulnerability management, such as CVSS.
  • Good understanding of modern application design.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Comfortable coding in common scripting languages, particularly Bash, Python, and Power Shell.
  • Deep understanding of how computers and operating systems function.
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle, common development frameworks, and common dependencies.
  • Valid work rights for Australia.
